Rustic, rough and textured; I spent time in Sicily last year photographing the buildings and was often found sitting on random doorsteps in ancient little streets, sketchpad on lap as I tried capture the atmosphere and shabby chic gorgeousness of the place. Managed to get some great shots of "balcony life" too, with some pretty scowly Sicilian ladies on one or two! You've done a great job with these shots.
